Futures and Commodities

Dow futures (/YM) -199 or -0.43%

SPX futures (/ES) -31.50 or -0.47%

Nasdaq Futures (/NQ) -128.75 or -0.52%

Peak-to-trough we saw declines of 0.75 to 1.0% and now we’re trading higher off the lows from about 3am shutdown.

Followed up with some commodities:

Gold futures (/GC)up 37.30 or 0.97%

Bitcoin (/BTC) rallying into 117,000 up 2150$ or 1.87%

Crude oil (/CL)had a nice sell off of 0.25 or 0.40% to a price of 62.12

Trump likes to refer to gasoline futures pricing which is absent any federal gas taxes and state taxes we have /RB priced at a very nice 1.908 – with a tick under 1.90 at its overnight lows.

Earnings

Nike (NKE) came in better than expected at 0.49 vs estimates of 0.273 though given the daily chart, I dont suspect there will be strong follow through or easy money trades, we’ll see.

Today premarket:

RPM reported 1.88 off estimates of 1.87, this led to a decline from 118 to 111.89 as of writing this. Volume is anemic, total shares traded post report is roughly 15,000

AYI and CAG, have not reported yet.

Cal-Maine foods (CALM) sold off from 94.39 to 88.00 after hitting a low of 86.00, volume is also abysmal at 20,000 share trade since reporting.

CALM was already trading down on the daily on decent volume.,

NEM premarket at 85.30 with prior resistance highs at 87.95

PFE had a strong day yesterday, intraday chart looks good for a continuation, daily has overhead resistance up through 30s

JNJ breaking higher through highs on slightly elevated volume this is on my radar for a continuation. Yesterday’s price action had some easy money trades

Xcel Energy inc XEL is becoming extended on the daily.

Steady grinder known as Amphenol or APH.

MU looks strong over resistance

Warner Bros WBD looks ripe for a continuation over 20.25

NVDA making new highs

Palantir (PLTR) also moving in the right direction, this looks ready for another march higher.
